Dan is an MD/PhD student who joined Georgetown University’s Interdisciplinary Program in Neuroscience in 2019 after graduating from Eckerd College with a B.S. in Biochemistry and Marine Science. During his undergraduate career, Dan was the associate editor, then editor-in-chief of the Journal of Young Investigators, an international undergraduate peer-reviewed journal. He also worked at a summer internship at the University of Washington, studying regenerative therapies for heart disease using human stem cells. After completing the first two years of medical school, Dan joined the Laboratory for Brain Injury and Dementia, where his thesis research explores memory engram dynamics to understand cognitive deficits following traumatic brain injury. Dan’s skills include behavioral assays, protein analysis, and electrophysiology.
