Society Objectives

MISSION OF THE NATIONAL CAPITAL AREA NEUROTRAUMA SOCIETY

The National Capital Area Neurotrauma Society is committed to the promotion of neurotrauma education and research. It will achieve this mission by providing a forum for dialogue between its members, enhance communication to a non-scientific audience, and advocate for increased neurotrauma research support on the national and international level.

The National Capital Area Neurotrauma Society seeks to accelerate clinical and preclinical research that will improve the treatments available to patients. The National Capital Area Neurotrauma Society will promote excellence in the field by providing opportunities for scientists to interact and communicate their research; by helping establish international standards in both basic and clinical research; by advocating for more clinical and preclinical neurotrauma research funding; and by promoting liaisons with other organizations that influence the care and cure of neurotrauma victims.
